It's time to think about Back to School for students in our community. Ascension has assisted KidsU by providing funds for the purchase of backpacks for many years. This year there is also a need for backpacks for the children of some of our pantry clients.
Diana Baker from KidsU can purchase mesh backpacks for $6.50. (Many area school districts are requiring transparent backpacks for the 23-24 school year.) KidsU needs 100 backpacks and the pantry needs another 100. Our goal is to raise $1300 to help these children. If you'd like to purchase a backpack to donate instead, there will be a yellow "Stuff the Bus Schoolbus" in the Narthex on Sundays!
If you have a monetary donation, please send a check to the church or place cash or check in the plate with "Backpacks" in the memo field. Online donations can also be accepted HERE and noting Backpacks for Kids U in the Donation Notes section.
