The weekend of September 7th- 8th will be a busy one at Ascension. On Saturday morning, 9/7, we will deliver water to Sandbranch. That evening, we will collect lasagnas and serve at Austin Street Center. Typically, these two outreach projects are a month apart, but due to some scheduling conflicts, they will both take place on the same day. If you’ve been waiting to participate in either of these, this month would be a great time to jump in and help!
Additionally, the next Saturday church work day is scheduled for September 7th. Work days include a wide variety of projects, big and small, indoors and outdoors. Many hands make light work, and these days offer an opportunity to get a lot of work done, improving the appearance of our campus and often saving the church money. It’s also a great chance to cultivate relationships among members. I hope you will join us for an hour or the entire morning if you’re able.
Finally, on Sunday, September 8th, we will have the kickoff for our fall formation offerings. Details on the different options are included in the rest of this installment of @Ascension and on our website. In worship, we expect to have the full choir back in action. Additionally, Radical Hospitality is planning a lunch that will provide additional fellowship opportunities that day. Please mark your calendars and don’t miss all the great things we have planned!
